This spring and early summer, I was in West Africa working on a scientific raptor breeding project based in the U.S. All work and no play makes JT a dull environmentalist, and I had to see where all the ugly inland trash and pollution was going to end up, right?  Though it may not be in your face in this picture, here's where it all ends up:
